Instructions
Proper surface preparation is essential for the optimal performance of US100CLR. The concrete substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any contaminants. It should be prepared to a Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) of 2-3, using methods such as diamond grinding or shot blasting. New concrete must be cured for a minimum of 28 days prior to application.
Condition the product to 65-85°F for best results. If adding color, mix it into Part A before combining with Part B. Mix the components at a 2:1 ratio using a low-speed drill, pouring the material in a 12-18 inch bead and spreading it evenly with a notched squeegee. Back-roll the surface to distribute the product and avoid application lines.
Avoid application at temperatures below 40°F or above 95°F, and in conditions where humidity exceeds 85% or the temperature is less than 5°F above the dew point. Ensure proper ventilation during installation and curing for optimal results and safety.

What is the coverage rate of US100CLR?
A: The coverage rate for US100CLR varies depending on the application. As a primer coat, it covers approximately 100 sq. ft. per gallon. For a solid color base coat, it also covers around 100 sq. ft. per gallon. When used as a base coat for flake floors, it covers about 150 sq. ft. per gallon, and for metallic floors, it covers roughly 50 sq. ft. per gallon.
How long does US100CLR take to cure?
A: US100CLR is typically dry to the touch within 6-8 hours at 75°F (24°C). Light foot traffic can be allowed after 12-24 hours, and heavy traffic or equipment can be permitted after 24-48 hours. Full cure is achieved in 5-7 days.
Can I apply US100CLR over previously coated surfaces?
A: Yes, US100CLR can be applied over existing coatings after proper surface preparation. The surface must be clean, dry, and mechanically abraded to ensure adequate adhesion.
Is US100CLR suitable for outdoor use?
A: While US100CLR can be used outdoors, it is not UV stable and may yellow or chalk over time when exposed to direct sunlight. For outdoor applications, it is recommended to use a UV-resistant topcoat like RESINUS US85POLY or RESINUS USHWU.
How do I clean and maintain a floor coated with US100CLR?
A: To clean a floor coated with US100CLR, sweep or vacuum regularly to remove loose debris. For a deeper clean, use a mild soap solution and a soft-bristled brush or mop. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning tools that may damage the coating.
Can I apply US100CLR in cold temperatures?
A: It is not recommended to apply US100CLR when the ambient or substrate temperature is below 50°F (10°C). Low temperatures can slow down the curing process and affect the final properties of the coating.
Is US100CLR VOC compliant?
A: Yes, US100CLR is VOC compliant with less than 30 g/L, making it suitable for use in states and regions with strict VOC regulations.
How long should I wait before applying a second coat or topcoat?
A: You should wait until the first coat of US100CLR is dry to the touch, which is typically 6-8 hours at 75°F (24°C). However, for optimal intercoat adhesion, it is recommended to apply the second coat or topcoat within 24 hours.
